Antonio Rodrigo Minotauro Nogueira now has the interim Heavyweight Belt in the UFC after submitting Tim Sylvia early in the third and final round of their most recent bout on Feb 2. Nog resisted some early punishing blows by Sylvia but regained his composure and found the submission he needed to end the fight. The unparalleled resilience of Nogueira was evident again in this fight. This may set up a match of the decade with Nogueira possibly fighting Randy Couture who is attempting to nullify his fight contract with the UFC. Perhaps a fight against such a quality opponent as Nogueira will soothe Randy's indignance over missing a chance to fight Fedor when the UFC were not able to sign Fedor on, last year.

Ya know, everyone I talk to was looking for Tim Sylvia to win that fight. Why is everyone so attached to the big lug anyway, he looks os out of place in the ring.
