If you're talking about the Machida vs Shogun decision that unanimously favoured Machida, I disagree.
I just finally watched this fight last night, and I called the first 2 rounds a draw, round 3 and 4 for Machida, and round 5 for Shogun... but... all the rounds were close; neither fighter dominated the other.
In order to wrest a belt away from a champion, a decisive victory is necessary and any even performance favours the incumbent.
Nontheless, I'd like to see a rematch between these two, since this is the first UFC fight that Machida has ever lost even a single round in. A clearer outcome (KO, TKO or sumbission) would silence the critics who will always argue after such narrow victories.
