If a user wants to change their user name or email address, they need an Administrator to do it. This is a security feature of the forum and won't be changed. It's up to you if you want to change their data or not.

To change a person's profile data (ONLY by their request) log into the Administration panel, under User Administration choose "Management" and look up that user's profile and edit it as desired.

NEVER edit a user's profile UNLESS they ask you to do it. Not as a joke. Not in spite. Not for any reason other than their request.
